Monterrey, N.L, 30 de agosto de 2010.  El Lic. Jorge Moreno Rejón, Presidente de la Asociación Internacional de Consultores de Imagen se reunió con miembros de la Asociación en la ciudad de Monterrey.

Entre los asistentes al evento estuvieron las consultoras Julia Ibarra y Susana Jasso, de Namara Cosmetics; Claudia Puertos de GC Consultoría; Sandra Carrera de Neo Instituto de Personalidad, catedráticas y miembros del Capítulo como Irene Muzquiz, Barbara Valdez y Verónica Marcos, así como un grupo de alumnos de Licenciatura de Diseño de Imagen. Entre los temas acordados estuvo presente el fomentar el sano intercambio de ideas dentro de la profesión de la Imagen.

La reunión tuvo lugar en las instalaciones de la Universidad Valle Continental y es el primer evento de una serie de charlas de bienvenida que se llevarán a cabo en todo el país durante el mes de Septiembre del presente año.

Candace Bradfield

Strongsville, Ohio resident Candace Bradfield, a native of Dallas, Texas, became interested in the beauty industry while working as a consultant for an internationally known skin care company.  Her rapport with the women she was advising became a passion, and she worked closely with women from all walks of life teaching them how to care for their skin, and how to apply makeup to accentuate their natural beauty.  Candace has been in the beauty industry for 30 years, and continues to expand her knowledge and expertise.  In 2006, Candace became a certified Image Consultant after completing courses in New York City taught by Master Image Consultants, Lynne Marks and Dominique Isbecque.

After receiving her certification in Image Consulting from The International Institute for Image Communications, she also studied under Pat Henshaw, co-author of “Color Me Younger”, “Image Matters for Men”, “Color Me Confident” and most recently, “Be a Beautiful Bride”.  Candace and Pat Henshaw have formed a partnership and are now training men and women in the United States and Mexico in Color Analysis, Women’s Style, and Men’s Style, under the Aumente Style Color brand.  Candace is also an advocate of natural, organically based skin care products.  She is actively involved in total wellness, and gives presentations on diet and nutrition and the role they play in maintaining good health and quality of life.

Monterrey, N.L. 13 de agosto de 2010.  En el ultimo día de clases del período de verano 2010, los alumnos de la Universidad Valle Continental organizaron una exposición fotográfica para mostrar a amigos y asistentes su trabajo realizado.

El tema fué libre, debido a que el curso cursado fué Fotografía Básica, sin embargo gran parte de las fotografías contaron con la influencia del mundo de la moda. El catedrático coordinador de la asignatura es Mauricio de la Garza, artista de fotografía y video.

Entre los trabajos expuestos destacaron las imágenes de la alumna Mary Cepeda. Los cursos de Fotografía se imparten dentro de la Licenciatura en Diseño de Imagen.

Monterrey, N.L. Lunes 9 de agosto. Las alumnas de la Licenciatura en Diseño de Imagen, presentaron el pasado sábado 7 de agosto un desfile de modas, como proyecto final de la asignatura de Taller de Exhibición de la Moda.

 El desfile se denominó ¨From Desk to Dressed¨, y la propuesta consistió en brindar a la mujer ejecutiva soluciones para lograr cambios de imagen de manera práctica y sencilla.

 La mujer ejecutiva hoy tiene diversas opciones para lograr ese “crossover” entre estilos, del “executive look” al “sexy sophisticated”. Los tonos neutros propios de la temporada nos permiten, dentro del mismo look primaveral, pasar de la jornada laboral cotidiana, a un evento de noche.

 ¨Estrategias como recargar o simplificar un vestuario, modificar un peinado, dar un cambio de maquillaje o accesorios nos permiten dejar atrás la rutina y asistir a un divertido evento o cita posterior sin invertir más de cinco minutos¨. – Nos comentó Astrid Teniente, alumna encargada de la coordinación general.

 La Lic. Karla Villaseñor, catedrática de la materia, expresó su satisfacción con el trabajo realizado por las alumnas, que se desarrolló en su totalidad por parte de los alumnos, como Juan Carlos Hernández, originario del Distrito Federal, quien tuvo a su cargo el trabajo artístico de maquillaje.

 Alrededor de doscientos asistentes; entre amigos, familiares y personalidades del mundo de la imagen y la moda se dieron cita en esa noche de gala de fín de cursos.

Bajo la prerrogativa de exponer los proyectos finales de la asignatura de Imagen Corporativa, de la Licenciatura en Diseño de Imagen de la Universidad Valle Continental, las alumnas organizaron una exposición en el marco del Desfile de Modas de fín de cursos de la casa de estudios.

Las propuestas se basaron en conceptos novedosos, con ¨crossovers¨ de diferentes tipologías urbanas para crear nuevas marcas y productos atractivos para las nuevas generaciones.

Dentro del ¨branding¨ expuesto estuvieron los proyectos: The Hill Market, supermercado V.I.P. con servicios de valor agregado, de las alumnas Mary Cepeda y Ana Karen Briones; Beauty 2 Go, servicios integrales de belleza a domicilio, de las alumnas Liliana Garza y Mila Jaidar; Beauty Bar, salón de belleza con servicios de coctel, de las alumnas Karla Cantú, Michelle Andonie y Andrea Salinas; iRooms, bar tecnológico interactivo, de las alumnas Yancy Villarreal y Vanessa Varcellino, Translink, nueva imagen del transporte público regiomontano, de las alumnas Sandra Pliego y Eva Torres.

La materia de Imagen Corporativa estuvo coordinada por el Arq. Hildeberto Martínez Chapa y el Lic. en Comunicación Rubén Acevedo Trasfi.
